With funding from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, TIPPS (Trauma-Informed Programs and Practices for Schools) is partnering with the Michigan School Health Coordinators’ Association (MiSHCA) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Michigan Department of Education (MDE) to develop and implement a novel and highly collaborative multi-stakeholder approach to strengthen the use of school-based trauma-informed practices across the state. This initiative will bring forward timely and important research-based materials that schools can readily adapt and apply in their local settings, at low cost. Details about the initiative and project team are available on the TIPPS website (tipps.health).

TIPPS has launched their first newsletter, TIPPS of the month, check out the July Edition here to explore:

We’ll continue to share this bi-monthly newsletter that will dive into key aspects of TIPPS work, including the 10 core pillars, provide updates on current initiatives, and highlight recent research on trauma, adversity, and resilience.
