January 19th, 2022 4:00-5:00pm EST School Health Profiles Survey in Michigan: Results, Trends, and Implications for Policies and Practices

The Michigan School Health Profiles, an underutilized yet very important source of information about school health policies, practices, and programs in Michigan collected from principals and lead health education teachers. Join us as Laurie Bechhofer, HIV/STD Education Consultant from the Michigan Department of Education, leads us in discussion around how the data can be used to document trends in implementation, seek funding, and advance school health.

The Profiles covers a broad range of topics including school health education requirements and content, physical education and physical activity, practices related to bullying and sexual harassment, school health policies related to tobacco-use prevention and nutrition, school-based health services, family engagement and community involvement, and school health coordination.
