Michigan Model for Health™
The key curriculum offered through the MiSHCA is the Michigan Model for Health™ (MMH).  The MMH is an evidence-based, comprehensive and sequential Pre-K through 12th grade health education curriculum. The MiSHCA regional school health coordinator network provides curriculum training and technical support to local school districts.  Michigan Model for Health™ provides age-appropriate lessons addressing the following areas:

  • Social-Emotional
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs
  • Personal Health and Wellness
  • Safety
  • HIV

Recognition
Each year the Michigan School Health Coordinators’ Association (MiSHCA) honors those who share our mission and support the efforts to benefit the health of Michigan’s children. Historically, these awards have been presented in three categories, though on occasion, other special recognition awards have also been presented.
