November 18th, 2021: Unlocking the Potential in MIPHY for School Improvement, Nicole Kramer and Dave Hundt
This is a two-in-one presentation. We will start with focusing on learning more about the Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth (MiPHY), how to create logins, and access the data. We will then share a protocol that helps building-level teams sort through the large amount of data and identify actionable target areas in one work session.
Target audience is those that administer the MiPHY or work with teams to interpret MiPHY data. MiPHY Data is specific to grades 7, 9, and 11.

The Michigan School Health Profiles, an underutilized yet very important source of information about school health policies, practices, and programs in Michigan collected from principals and lead health education teachers. Join for discussion around how the data can be used to document trends in implementation, seek funding, and advance school health.
The Profiles covers a broad range of topics including school health education requirements and content, physical education and physical activity, practices related to bullying and sexual harassment, school health policies related to tobacco-use prevention and nutrition, school-based health services, family engagement and community involvement, and school health coordination.
February 24th, 2022 4:00-5:00pm EST HSAT: Healthy School Action Tools, Deborah Grischke and Steve Sukta
The Healthy School Action Tools are a suite of online tools to help schools assess the health of their school environments and take action to improve those environments. In this interactive session participants will learn how to access the HSAT website, register their school, explore the different assessment tools and understand the HSAT Action Plan. In addition, you’ll learn how the HSAT can be used as part of the Continuous Improvement Planning process in setting whole child goals and measurable objectives as well as monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes.
Spring, 2022. MICIP: Michigan Integrated Continuous Improvement Process
The MICIP is a pathway for districts to improve student outcomes by assessing the whole child needs to develop plans and coordinate funding.
